Zackery needs a nap. REALLY bad, today. Usually I will just lay him down in my bed with a quiet cartoon and he'll either rest (if he's not tired enough for a nap that day) or instantly fall asleep. But today is not 'usually' and he is a grump so I'm sitting by him so he'll fall asleep and not play.
Since I do not like to just sit and stare at the wall... I decided to play on the computer. Me and Blaine are always talking about baby names (stop it... I told you not to think further until you're done reading) and we've never been able to pick a girl name we both really love (guess its a good thing we've only had boys haha) so I decided to browse around for girl names. We are NOT pregnant, nor will we be within the next 3+ years. This is for entertainment purposes only. Thank you for reading this disclaimer... continue reading and you may also resume thinking.
So I have a few criteria for my future hypothetical daughter's name:
- She will not have a middle name (I didn't, my mom didn't, and my Grandma didn't. Kind of a family tradition to just have your maiden name as a middle name. I actually didn't even know girls COULD have middle names until I was like 10. haha)
- It cannot start with the same initial as any of my other kids, so no "K" "C" or "Z".
- It MUST contain "ann" somewhere in the name. I have wanted this since I was little and I will not waiver.
Many of these names I know I probably wouldn't end up considering, but you never know what my taste will be in 3+ years time, so I searched through baby names websites and wrote down all that I thought were maybe possibly a possibility. All spellings are still optional. Nicknames are in " "s. At first I was only looking up words ending with -ann, -anne, or -anna. Then I realized that was a little limiting, so I started looking up any names that contained 'ann' somewhere in the name (beginning, middle, or end). Here you go folks. Feel free to comment on your favorites:
- Abianne "Abbi"
- Aubrianna "Aubrie"
- Adanna "Addi"
- Adreanna "Addi"
- Adrianne (Ay-dree-uhn) "Addi"
- Adrianna "Addi"

- Alexanna "Ali" "Alexa" "Lexi"
- Alisanne "Alisa" "Ali"
- Alyanna "Aly"

- Annyka/Annika (This one is odd... but its kind of growing on me cuz it's like the reverse of my name kind of... Karrianne... Annika... hmm... I don't know...)
- Annyssa
- Arianna
- Arianne
- Audrianne "Audri"
- Elanna
- Ellianna "Ellie" (I don't know about the whole name... but I have always liked the nickname Ellie)
- Evanna "Evie?"
- Gianna (Jee- aw-nuh)
- Jianna (jee-aw-nuh)
- Jilianna "Jili"? (my mom might like this... her granddaughter kind of named after her hero... Jillian Michaels LOL)

- Lilianna "Lili" (Lillies are my FAVORITE flower so I was really stuck on this name for awhile, but I just can't decide if I like it enough...)
- Melanna "Mellie" (this is another one that I couldn't stop going back to it once I read it. Different... never heard it... but it's kind of mine and Blaine's moms' names combined "melinda" and "leann" and that would be pretty neat. And ever since I saw gone with the wind I've liked the nickname "Mellie"... I don't know though... hmmm)
- Shayanne
- Tianna (tee-aww-nuh)
Tough huh? I don't want to go with Breanne or Marianne because I know too many of those. there are more options than I initially though, I was surprised at how many uses of 'ann' the search engines pulled up. But I still don't LOVE any of them. I guess its a good thing I've got at least 3 years huh? LOL
success! Zackery George is asleep! : )
