Blessings

There are many different categories of blessings.

There are blessings you get from working hard. I have been taught by wonderful parents to work hard. The blessings you get from working hard give you satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment, and motivation to work hard in the future.

There are blessings that could be referred to as luck. When you do nothing right and somehow you still end up with something great. These are nice... but sometimes they leave you feeling a little guilty. Which, hopefully leads you to think about being good enough in the future to actually deserve those blessings.

Then there are blessings that you have no control over, so you must ask for. These are the blessings that humble our hearts and realize the good hearts of others. Hopefully along with these blessings come love for one another and for the Lord who undoubtedly had a hand in the situation. And.... hopefully... the spirit of service inspires us to pass along the blessings to others in the future and keep the chain of love moving along.

And then there are blessings that seem to come out of nowhere that you never asked for nor ever expected. Things that leave you speechless and in awe of the life and the people in your life. These are the things that usually don't seem real for a day... or a week... and you have to think - Did that really happen?! Woah.....

I am grateful for all my blessings. I've had some from each category and each I am grateful for in a different way and each affects me differently. Don't forget to count your blessings. Life is wonderful, so long as you look at all the wonderful moments and people and little things you've been blessed with. : )
