Tonight we followed our usual bedtime routine...
Bath.
Pjs.
Brush Teeth.
Each pick out a book.
We all piled on the boys' bottom bunk to say prayers, read a scripture story, and read the books the boys picked out.
We all folded our arms and it was Kadan's turn to say his prayer and he has his book open in his lap and as he's starting to pray he mumbles and I see his eyes open a crack and he's looking at the pages of his book.
So I took the book out of his hands and put it in my lap and he got mad.
I said, "Kadan you can't say your prayer and read your book at the same time."
He said, "But mom -"
I said, "You can't."
He said, "I wasn't!"
I said, "Yes you were I saw you!"
He said, "No, Mom-"
I said, "Kadan, you can't read while you're praying, it doesn't work."
He said, "MOM!"
I said, "What?!"
He said, "Mom! I wasn't cuz I CAN'T read!!!"
Oh. Oh yeah. And then we both started laughing. : )
Don't you love it when they can tell you things like that! Naomi is now old enough that when I want to rock with her she will tell me that she is too big, but I can rock her baby. =)Gotta love kids.
