Just to clarify... this is my evaluation of my job... not their evaluation of me. : )
My first day went.... okay. Which is a lot better than I was expecting! I really think it could end up being good. A good portion of the staff kind of stood around a lot just talking to the kids, like they didn't really know exactly what to do. Everyone says they want good activities and a good schedule but no one was doing it!
So.... being the me that I am.... I was not about to stand around all day watching kids play. I jumped right in there and was pulling activities out of my bag of 'ammo' left and right and the kids loved it and the other teachers just went along with whatever I did. : )
I wouldn't consider it a GREAT day as far as the activities and schedule of course... but one teacher told me she was SO glad they have me and that it was by far the least chaotic day they've had in a long time! : )
SO, for now.... I'm going to be excited about my job as much as I can and try and help pull things together there and we'll see what happens after that! More updates later.... gotta get to bed! : )
